Gerri Leder is founder and president of LederMark Communications, a marketing strategy and communications firm to the financial services industry, including brokerage, asset management and mutual fund firms. She works with firms and advisors to differentiate their products and to simplify often-complex investment terms and concepts for easy understanding by investor-clients.
An industry veteran, she has served in a variety of senior marketing roles with Legg Mason and Alex. Brown (now part of Deutsche Bank). She brought specialized services to the executives of public companies through the firm’s financial advisors during the late 1990s technology boom. As vice president of marketing, both at Alex. Brown and Legg Mason Wood Walker, she had oversight of advertising, public relations, product launches and special events.
Gerri is a popular monthly columnist for the 91,000-circulation On Wall Street magazine.
A graduate of the University of Richmond with a master’s degree in business from Maryland’s Loyola College, Gerri completed the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School, a three-year executive program for industry leaders. She has held Series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses and has written articles, taught college business courses, and given speeches on a variety of marketing topics. She is president of the Richmond Council at the University of Richmond. She is a member of Boardroom Bound Friends and the Financial Womens Association of New York.
